Room Bookings....what's the problem?
Let me know what problems your student group has with the Guild's room booking proceedure...

ReplyDeleteI second that, although maybe with a bit less vitriol.
ReplyDeleteHi Unofficial Guild, thanks for your comments, however I have had to delete them as it isn't appropriate to name individual staff. I have taken your comments on board, but for the benefit of others:
ReplyDelete1. Staff double book rooms and problems with the proceedure
2. Some groups block book rooms which causes problems for other groups
Kind Regards
As was pointed out in the meeting last week, not being able to book rooms in advance for large (and national) events is a problem!
ReplyDeleteAlso, one more thing, with Room Bookings, and the such like - why do external people get priority over student groups?
ReplyDeleteHi unofficial guild
ReplyDeletethank you once again for your engagement.
I am currently looking into the room booking proceedure, reading through the policy for room and venues bookings and collecting information on the key issues and problems student groups face with room bookings. I'd like to say that room bookings etc works on a first come first serve basis and groups would not be required (but perhaps asked) to cancel or move rooms, however I know there are numerous exceptions to this depending on time, rooms and what the conflicting activity is.......it's a huge and complex issue that I am happy and willing to work on, but I need lots of constructive information and suggestions from both staff and groups. It's not always useful when people say 'room bookings are rubbish'...I need to pin point the exact problems.
Kind Regards
